Cookies and Consent

Last updated: August 28, 2026

This page lists every cookie, browser-storage key, and third-party embed this site and our products use. It is written from the code, not from a template: each row below was verified by reading this repository and by checking what a real page load requests.

Nothing outside the “strictly necessary” category loads until you allow it. Your choice is stored in your own browser and applies across welzin.ai, the Bootcamp, and Startin.

sb-<project-ref>-auth-tokenSupabase, first-party on the welzin.ai originKeeps you signed in across the site and our products. Set only after you deliberately sign in with a magic linkThe session and refresh-token lifetime set in our Supabase projectStrictly necessary

A visitor who is not signed in and has not answered the banner receives no cookies at all from us.

Browser storage

These are local-storage keys, not cookies. They are written by your browser, stay on your device, and are never transmitted to us.

KeyWherePurposeCategory
welzin.consent.v1Every zoneThe cookie choice you made on this page or in the bannerStrictly necessary
welzin-bootcamp.progress.v2, welzin-bootcamp.quiz.v1, welzin-bootcamp.last-visited.v1, welzin-bootcamp.cert.v1Welzin BootcampChapters marked complete, quiz answers and pass state, where you left off, and the id of a certificate you have claimedStrictly necessary (the feature itself)
welzin-bootcamp.learner-name.v1Welzin BootcampThe name you type for your certificate. It is personal data, and it stays on your device unless you choose to claim a certificate, at which point the name is recorded against that certificateStrictly necessary (the feature itself)

Bootcamp keys live only in your browser, so clearing site data resets that progress. We hold no server-side copy of it.

There is no Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no session-replay tool, and no advertising or cross-site tracking pixel anywhere on this site. We do not run any, and we have no plans that would add one without updating this page first.

Changing or withdrawing your choice

Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of any page, or the button above. Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately for anything that has not already loaded, and reloading the page clears the rest. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, which resets this question and signs you out.

How this relates to the privacy policy

The Privacy Policy is the full notice: who the controller is, the lawful basis for each purpose, how long data is kept, where it is processed, and how to exercise your rights. This page is the detail behind its cookies section.

Answers to questions about cookies

What loads before I choose?

Only what the site cannot work without: the page itself, and the Supabase sign-in cookie if you are signed in. Analytics beacons and third-party embeds stay unmounted until you allow their category.

Is rejecting as easy as accepting?

Yes. Accept all and Reject non-essential are one click each, the same size and the same weight, side by side in the banner. Closing the banner without choosing grants nothing.

How do I change my mind later?

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page, or the button on this page. It reopens the banner with your current choices, and saving replaces them immediately.

Where is my choice stored?

In your browser: a welzin.consent.v1 key in local storage plus a wz-consent cookie on the welzin.ai domain, so the same choice applies on the bootcamp and startin zones. No account is needed and nothing is sent to us to make it work.

Why are cookieless analytics still behind consent?

Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights write no cookie and contact no third-party host, which is a mitigating argument under ePrivacy rather than an exemption. We ask anyway.

What happens if I block cookies in my browser?

The site still works. Sign-in will not persist without its cookie, bootcamp progress will not survive a reload without local storage, and we will ask about cookies again on your next visit because the answer had nowhere to go.
